I am a licensed psychologist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, an educator, and a community-based healer whose work sits at the intersection of psychology, culture, trauma, and spirituality. I earned my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology and have spent over a decade teaching, conducting psychological research, and providing clinical services with a focus on marginalized and Muslim populations in the United States.
I am firmly dedicated to raising critical consciousness and engaging in liberation practices by exploring how our individual and collective agencies interact. Healing requires us to acknowledge and resist the oppressive forces that cause harm while also reclaiming joy, connection, and meaning. I draw from indigenous psychologies, Islamic traditions, and decolonial frameworks to understand our capacity to heal, resist, and love - in ways that are spiritually attuned and culturally grounded.
I have extensive experience working with gender, racial, religious, and other cultural identity issues; developmental and intergenerational trauma; and mood and thought disorders such as depression and anxiety. I also specialize in supporting clients navigating family and relationship concerns, identity development, and major life transitions.
Whether in therapy, the classroom, or community settings, my work is justice-oriented, trauma-informed, and rooted in the belief that inner and outer transformation are interconnected. I emphasize the importance of embodied knowledge, ethical curiosity, and spiritual self-awareness. Through my independent practice, I also offer workshops, consultation, and healing-centered educational spaces.
I'm thrilled to have you here, and I look forward to connecting with you on this journey of self-interrogation and personal growth. Check out my current and upcoming offerings:
